Abstract:
Asthma and COPD are common and important diseases in the Indian subcontinent. However, mainly due to economic reasons, most patients continue to use oral medication. Inhaler use is expected to rise rapidly with economic development and better access to health care. It is necessary to develop and market cheap and effective inhalation devices, at the same time keeping in mind their impact on the environment.
